First Coast Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a Medical Records Specialist for their offices.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- Prepare daily charts for doctors and testing procedures.
- Pull hospital records for medical staff through remote computer programs.
- Distribute incoming faxes from hospitals and other offices.
- Answer patient phone calls.
- Complete chart audits and HEDIS reviews.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations and work flow of the practice’s site’s medical records.
- The Medical Records Specialist will be responsible for scanning documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), responsible for obtaining securing any and all prior medical information including documentation needed for the coordination of insurance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidate will also be expected to participate in the practice call center for 3 hours per day after completion of medical records training.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
