Responsibilities:

Oversee the parts department and manage all aspects of parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize parts department operations and improve efficiency
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of parts orders and maintain proper documentation
- Collaborate with service technicians to identify and source necessary parts for automotive repairs
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts
- Monitor inventory levels and analyze data to forecast future parts needs
- Implement effective supply chain management practices to minimize costs and maximize profitability
- Train and supervise parts department staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Skills:

Strong knowledge of warehouse management principles and practices
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive parts and equipment repair
- Experience working in a dealership or automotive repair environment preferred
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers
- Ability to source parts from various vendors based on price, quality, and availability
- Proficient in inventory management software systems for accurate tracking of parts inventory
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers
