Statement from previous assistant:
"Working as a Volunteer & Operations Assistant at Meals on Wheels West is truly a dynamic experience. Each day brings something new yet familiar at the same time. You step into the office knowing that your warm greeting sets the tone for our dedicated volunteers, who arrive ready to make a difference in the community. This is not an average office job – it’s all about fostering human connections.
Maintaining high morale is key, given that our volunteers generously give their time to
perform vital service work. I find joy in engaging with both our volunteers and clients daily. Much of the role involves connecting with people – whether it's our volunteers, clients, or unexpected visitors. Every day feels like a mini adventure, offering both a sense of stability and the excitement of the unexpected. It's fulfilling to contribute not only to our neighbors in need but also to our volunteers, who cherish their involvement just as much. "
