General Summary: Performs light industrial manufacturing as a Braiding/Winding Machine Operator in a Thermoplastic hose manufacturing plant. This individual must be hardworking, energetic, with extremely strong ethics and morals. They must have the ability to accomplish all tasks with little or no supervision. The right individual will have a fantastic opportunity to mature and grow with the company.
Major Functions:
¡ Primary responsibility will be to operate Braiding/Winding machines that braid textile fabrics and wire on thermoplastic hose. This requires the ability to run multiple Braiding Machines.
¡ Elevated level of Mechanical aptitude.
¡ Performs and records quality checks as required.
¡ Operates a forklift to obtain and/or store production related materials.
¡ Maintains a clean work area, works in a safe manner, and performs other tasks as directed by production management.
¡ Ability to read and understand work orders and production running sheets, tape measure, and venire calipers.
¡ Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, all situations that could arise. Apply commonsense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written and/or oral instructions.
¡ Wearing the proper and required safety equipment.
¡ Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 1 to 2 years’ experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is favorable. Forklift operator’s certification highly desirable.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle, feel objects, twist and turn and hands/wrists to pull greater than 35 pounds of force; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
