We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join our team on a part time basis. This individual will play a critical role in securing funding to support our programs, projects, and services.
The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and education sectors, excellent writing skills, and a proven track record of securing grants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s health and education goals.
- Develop and write grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information necessary for proposals.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Track and manage the grant application process, including following up with funding organizations.
- Prepare and submit required reports for funded grants.
- Maintain comprehensive records of past and current grant proposals and outcomes.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in grant writing and funding opportunities in the health and education sectors.
- Assist in developing project budgets and financial plans for grant proposals.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing funding.
- Strong understanding of health and education issues and familiarity with relevant funding sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage grant calendars and databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with federal grant applications.
- Knowledge of local, state, and national funding sources in health and education.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $47,646.43 - $57,380.64 per year
