Macanda is looking to add a Bar Lead to their team that will help ensure the optimal daily operations of the bar at Macanda that includes, but not is limited to guest satisfactoin, administrative tasks regarding the bar team, cocktail batching, production, and execution of cocktails. Will work with the standards of service for Macanda and create memorable experiences within the spaces of the bar and into the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and communication with the Beverage Director on the continuous creation of cocktail & bar program.
- Training and developing bartenders at Macanda on Cocktail and Bar Program.
- Continuous development and maintenance of all systems at and for the bar - communication methods, recipe books, recipe data, prep / shift guides, training materials.
- Weekly participation in Bar meetings
- Continuous education for all staff for the Cocktail & Bar Program for all Macanda Team members (FOH).
- Work with the Management Team on Private Events; coordination of bar team, cocktail requests, and more.
- Inventory of Bar Products; Managing of Products, ensuring deliveries are correct, communicating with Beverage Director and Vendors with any issues.
- Maintain favorable relationships with all team members and other management team within Macanda (GM, AGM, Head Chef, Sous Chef, Corporate, Ownership)
- Ensuring the providing of excellent Steps of the Restaurant, Full Food Menu knowledge, providing the best in hospitality, adhering to cash management procedures, upholding and ensuring the cleanliness of FOH and Bar expectations, adhering to all MDH Food Safety and Sanitary policies and procedures, adhering to and following MN State laws regarding age restrictions.
Qualifications:
- Extensive previous experience in food service and bartending; preferred in a fine dining environment with craft cocktail programs.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Familiarity with Toast POS and Resy is a plus.
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper handling and storage of perishable items
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
