The position will oversee the care and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and property. Our client is seeking someone who has exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of equipment failures.
Job Overview:
Are you skilled at troubleshooting, proactive in maintenance, and ready to keep a manufacturing facility in top condition? We're looking for a Maintenance Technician who can take full ownership of the care and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and properties. This position is crucial for ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response: Address unexpected equipment failures and emergency repairs swiftly, coordinating resources to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and communicate preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all critical equipment using Microsoft Outlook.
- Strategic Planning: Formulate maintenance strategies for scheduled shutdowns and major repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Proactivity: Stay ahead of facility issues, responding to maintenance requests promptly to keep our plant facilities, properties, and equipment in pristine condition.
- Communication: Manage all communication channels effectively, answering calls immediately and responding to emails and texts within 24 hours.
- Logistics Coordination: Ensure that trucks deliver materials to plants on-time daily and as needed, optimizing our supply chain efficiency.
- Team Management: Prioritize and delegate tasks to maintenance staff according to project needs, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality, efficiency, safety, and documentation of all maintenance work, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Staff Collaboration: Actively participate in weekly staff meetings, sharing maintenance updates, issues, and concerns with leadership.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- A technical degree or apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical, or another skilled trade is preferred.
