POSITION SUMMARY
Performs production control activities including but not limited to gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer orders, posting production schedules, and calculating production rates.
JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS
- Operates machine tool, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to but not limited to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
- Moves, packs, and sorts raw materials or finished goods.
- Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
- Inform team leader or supervisor of documentation errors.
- Positions parts or materials for processing.
- Performs general manual labor tasks including to but not limited to loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
- Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks.
- Uses machinery and equipment to fill molds, baskets and other recipients.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
PPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts
- Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
