What You'll Be Doing:
The Assistant Director reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer/Chief Administrative Officer on all matters relating to the human resources function and is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations and strategic strategies within all CarePoint Health facilities. The Assistant Director will be responsible for planning, strategy development, policy development and implementation, compliance, employee relations and training and development.
The successful candidate will be able to:

Lead, manage and develop the Human Resources function within the facilities

Develop and implement HR Strategic and Operational Plans as determined by the VP of HR

Attend and lead out if required on working groups and committees

Support the VP of HR, Heads of Departments and Managers through the development and implementation of best practice in all aspects of Human Resources Management

In conjunction with Department Heads and Managers, develop and implement effective methods for monitoring and managing absenteeism levels and ensure that internal and external reporting requirement are met

Monitor, track and process annual sick leave bonus ensuring that policies, procedures, guidelines and payout are being adhered to

Superuser of HRIS system

Maintain personnel records for all staff as required and ensure the confidentiality of such records

Process unemployment claims, conduct investigations and process employee grievances

Manages data collection of employee specific information to ensure updated systems are accurate

Researches, analyzes data and prepares quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions and current program goals and progress.

Manages budgeting specific HR programs, including but not limited to working directly with vendors, recommendations of budgets, payment of invoices, and general trouble shooting.

Manages employee communication, including but no limited to working with IT to ensure accurate distribution list, updating of HR organizational charts, and other communications.

Manages ATS system, acts as subject matter expert and primary liaison with vendor.

Communicates relevant information to the Payroll department on timely basis.

Responds to employee questions about their compensation.

Helps department members with pay and HRIS related issues.

Conducts random time and attendance audits.

Conducts yearly primary source verification for all licensure.

Conducts monthly review of employee certifications and obtains renewals.

Provides quarterly vacancy for Nursing.

Conduct a yearly audit for Employee record retention per guidelines.

Maintains documentation/files on all contracted employees per TJC standards.

Conducts verification of employment for both current and former employees.

Submits weekly position requests per process to corporate for approval through Laborlytics.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor degree required: Master’s degree preferred

Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
