Job Summary:
Our busy medical practice is growing each day, and we are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Office Specialist/Medical Assistant (floater) to join our team. In the role, the Medical Office Specialist/Medical Assistant will provide leadership to multiple locations, to support our administrative team as well as providing clinical care to our patients in our Outpatient Cath Lab. Your goal is to ensure patient satisfaction, develop process improvements and help manage staff to support a steady work flow resulting in exceptional patient service.
What you will be responsible for:
- Provide ABI (Ankle Branchial Indexing)Testing at Primary Care Offices
- Provide front desk, medical assistant and office support
- Ensure the efficient operation of the office, monitoring activities to ensure they meet practice policies and objectives
- Handle daily operational and facilities related office issues
- Providing office support to staff and physicians
- Train new staff on office protocols and job responsibilities
- Deal discretely with sensitive, confidential information concerning staff performance and practice operations
- Scan physician and patient records
- Maintain a clean and safe environment to ensure patient safety
- Participate in special projects and other duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Athena ( EMR) preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Minimum five years experience in managing a busy medical/surgical practice
- Minimum two years experience as a medical assistant; experience assisting in office surgeries a plus
- Proven supervisory skills
- Strong knowledge of medical billing
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated organization skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to travel to multiple locations
