Operations Clerk
The RightCare Clinic Operations Clerk is responsible for greeting all patients as they enter an interdisciplinary outpatient office setting. They will handle all patient administrative duties at the front desk in coordination with the clinical staff and other office personnel, to include but not limited to registration, prior authorizations, documenting insurance information, handling referrals, collecting co-payments, and making/taking phone calls.
RightCare is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team full-time &/or part-time to assist with coverage of the check-in/check-out desk.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists patients during admission process.
- Gathering patient information forms.
- Coordination with clinical staff to ensure accurate paperwork completion.
- Verifying patient demographics and insurance information.
- Confirming referrals and ensuring prior authorizations are in order.
- Processing any patient payments at time of service.
- Handling phone calls to and from patients and other medical providers/facilities to coordinate appointments for patients.
- Assists with scheduling of patient appointments.
- Providing all disclosures documents to patients.
- Completes patient checkout process.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a neat and clean medical office environment for employees and waiting area for patients.
- Provides excellent customer service skills and maintains high quality of interaction with patients.
- Maintains administrative office supplies for operations team and assists with orders as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Prefer 1-2 years of experience with customer service skills, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of reading, writing, mathematical and computer skills as normally acquired through completion of high school.
- Basic knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Windows with typing skills of 30 wpm.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent
