VICE PRESIDENT OF FP&A

JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of FP&A will be responsible for managing and supporting the Company's financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis processes and deliverables and ensuring that the annual plan and quarterly forecast processes are completed in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. The individual in this position will prepare monthly and quarterly senior management and Corporate Board reporting and analysis and ad hoc analysis, including ROI models as requested by all levels of management and present output and recommendations. This role will provide a unique opportunity to be involved with every aspect of the business and work with executive management. The individual in this position will work with a variety of functional areas including the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Private Equity (PE) Partner, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Sales.
JOB DUTIES:
- Direct and coordinate corporate-level budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis processes for the Company
- Develop, prepare and manage weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to executive management and PE Partner including Monthly Reporting Package, finance portions of Quarterly Board Package, and ELT Monthly Sales Reporting
- Manage reporting of monthly flash and actual results
- Own the development, preparation and distribution of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to executive management, translating and summarizing the details into the overall story that drives outcomes and effective decision-making
- Update Reporting Model with actuals sourced from the Company's internal systems
- Build a customer dataset that easily allows for a full bridge between bookings, billings, GAAP revenue, deferred revenue and billing backlogs by customer segment
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain effective business partnerships within and across the Company
- Develop and improve upon financial planning processes ensuring transparency of planning assumptions and actual performance to the functional areas.
- Prepare variance analysis to identify and explain variances to budget
- Perform ad hoc modeling and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, monitor performance against budget, and provide variance analysis
- Update and track key operating indicators
- Manage the financial planning and analysis team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Ten (10) plus years FP&A experience
- Three (3) plus years of people management experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and reporting requirements
- Highly motivated self-starter and strategic thinker
- Experience with multiple financial and business systems
- Experience as an M&A or corporate development analyst
- Ability to make the complex seem simple to allow for quick and easy understanding across a broad audience
- Excellent Excel and presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 20% of the time to interact face-to-face with team members and attend Company meetings/trainings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's in Business Administration or related, advanced degree
- Experience working with Private Equity firms
- Experience with managing treasury and insurance
- Analyst experience in technology, investment bank, private equity, or venture capital industries
- Industry knowledge in manufacturing or related field
- Strong knowledge of best business practices
- Demonstrated influential and negotiation skills
