Greeting guests: Servers must greet guests warmly and quickly after they're sat to introduce themselves and make them feel welcome.
Taking orders: Servers take orders for food and drinks from guests, using their knowledge of the menu to make recommendations and answer any questions the guests may have.
Serving food and drinks: Once orders are placed, servers deliver food and drinks to the table, making sure each guest receives their order correctly and in a timely manner.
Checking on guests: Servers periodically check on guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and to address any concerns they may have.
Handling payments: At the end of the meal, servers present the check to guests and handle payment transactions.
Pre-bussing tables: Servers clear and clean tables throughout the guests' meals to ensure that guests have a clean dining area and to make it easier to clean the table when they leave.
Collaborating with kitchen and other staff: Servers work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and timely. They may also work with the host/hostess, busser, or bartender to ensure the overall smooth operation of the restaurant. Servers should be team players who are willing to assist their colleagues when needed to ensure that the restaurant is operating efficiently and providing excellent customer service.
We are seeking experienced servers who have worked in high-volume restaurants and have a strong track record of providing exceptional customer service. Candidates must possess excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills. They should be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, servers must be knowledgeable about the menu, specials, and wine list, as well as any dietary restrictions or food allergies.
