Responsibilities:
- Provide English language instruction to students who are learning English as a
second Language, 18 years of age and older.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with the schools' master curriculum by academic level.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance
their language skills (students are tested and place in academic levels.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promote Cultural
understanding and appreciation.
- Use behavior management techniques to maintain a productive classroom environment
- A College degree, BA or higher in related areas of Education. Experience as an ESL teacher at a minimum 3 years in the classroom: One of the following Certificates: TESOL, TEFL, TESL, CELTA, DELTA, TKT- Knowledge of library services and resources for language learners- Familiarity with education administration and policies related to English language instruction- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed in their language development journey
