ACCOUNTING CLERK (Full-Time)

Salar The salary range for this position is $49,414 - $64,643. The annualized starting

Brief Descnption Under direct supervision of the Revenue Manager, this position is responsible
of Duties: for performing collections and customer service functions pertaining to
receipting of payments for all receipt types, both in person and telephone, or
web-initiated; fulfillment of vehicle sticker sales for in-person and mail/web-
initiated payments, including payment taking, recording in various systems, and
packaging/mailing of vehicle stickers; data entry functions pertaining to all
divisions of Finance; assisting with Utility Billing and Violations Administration
tasks as-needed at the direction of the Revenue Manager; prepare and issue
various types of invoices and assist in collection activities for outstanding
invoices; assist citizens with matters relating to charges, payments, collections.
The positions may also be responsible for mail (in/outbound) operations,
telephone switchboard and reception tasks, and other work-related tasks, as
assigned.
BQQMsred High school diploma or equivalent required; Minimum of two years' experience
Education. in office environment, preferably in finance and/or receivables; Previous
Experience, and accounting/clerical experience preferred, with a good understanding of
KnowledQe: accounting principles and accounts receivable concepts, especially with utility
billing; Will consider any combination of education and experience, as outlined
above; Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate
effectively, both verbally and in writing; Attention to detail is critical; Must be able
to maintain strict confidentiality; Must be able to read and write English, bi-
iingual skills helpful; Must exercise good judgement in all matters; Must be
familiar with Microsoft Office Suite applications, Experience with BS&A
municipal software a plus; Must be able to safeiy operate various office and
computer equipment; Must follow all safety rules and regulations of the Village.
