Line Cook duties and responsibilities:
Come join our exciting team at Grant's at The Stowe Village Inn! As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing food using recipes and menu items created by the executive chef. You will also be able to provide your own input on menu options, specials, cost savings, and other items creating positive business impact. Our amazing guests love the current menu which is comprised of some really special favorite dishes! Your involvement will help keep the kitchen running smoothly. The line cook's duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking grab-and-go breakfast, dinner main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
- Plating prepared foods based on tutorial and guidance from chef consultant
- Working with servers and bartenders to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Assist with washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
Ideal candidate is able to work to prep/clean-up before and after the 4-9pm dinner shift (arrive around 2pm and depart around 10pm).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
