Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic, locally owned and operated in Eagle River, Alaska, is currently accepting applications for a Veterinary Technician.
A qualified candidate for this position should be adept at phlebotomy, safe handling of animals, (experience handling exotic species is a plus, but not a requirement), performing and monitoring anesthesia, drug-calculations, dental prophylaxis, urine and fecal analysis, and hospitalized patient care. Skills and Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent
-Graduation from accredited Veterinary technician school and Alaska State Veterinary License preferred, but not required for applying for this position- Excellent customer service skills- Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office)- Attention to detail- Strong work ethic, confidence and an overall great attitude- The ability to lift at least 40lbs and be on your feet most of the shift
Priority will be given to applicants with previous experience in a veterinary hospital. Knowledge of IDEXX Cornerstone software is a plus.
