As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our intricate electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic manufacturing systems and property. You'll work independently, applying your skills to maintain high standards of quality craftsmanship.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Identify and fix issues in malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
- Electrical Work: Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
- Team Collaboration: Exhibit teamwork and train fellow coworkers.
- Comprehensive Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and property.
- Installation and Testing: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain electrical systems in accordance with county, state, and federal regulations.
- Part Replacement: Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools; inspect parts for form and texture.
- Precision Measurement: Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Fabrication: Create repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Experience:
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible journey-level electrical experience, OR
- Completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance and two (2) years of electrical experience, OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education providing comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Expertise:
- Proficient in working with 3-phase, 480V systems and troubleshooting PLC logic.
- PLC programming design, development, and optimization is a plus.
- Skilled in testing electrical systems and circuit continuity using devices like ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure system compatibility and safety.
- Physical Capability: Able to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
