About the Role:
Job Summary:
A Sales Agent in SelectQuote Senior speaks to people who have responded to a variety of marketing campaigns conducts an extensive needs analysis with these customers and matches them with the Medicare products that meet their needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works primarily inbound phone calls (limited outbound dialing at times) with consumers who have expressed interest in receiving quotes for SelectQuote's Medicare plan options
- Informs and assists with selection of a new Medicare plan
- Handles and overcomes consumer objections to win their confidence
- Participates in coaching sessions with leadership while displaying a willingness to act on the feedback that is provided
- Meets and exceeds specified monthly sales goals while adhering to all compliance and workflow standards
- Stays informed on products they represent including completion of all required annual carrier certifications
- Participates in ongoing training as required
Skills/Abilities:
- Displays a disciplined approach to sales. Comfortable following processes and procedures to stay compliant while generating top results
- Strong interpersonal skills comfortable effectively communicating unfamiliar and complex insurance concepts to clients over the phone
- Ability to think critically uses the information provided by clients to facilitate plan selection
- Competitive likes to be the best and deliver top results
- Strong attention to detail comfortable working multiple technology platforms while staying engaged with client on the phone
- Adequately manages and tolerates varying levels of stress. Thrives working demanding schedule during peak seasons
- Has strong moral principles and prides oneself on being honest
- Naturally curious and willingness to learn new skills
- Well organized and efficiently manages both workload and time
- Ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances as they arise
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or the equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Must complete AHIP and Carrier Certifications by a given deadline.
This position has (no) budget responsibility authority and/or level of control.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
