Established communications company is seeking an experienced Vice President, Business Development to join their executive team. The VP, Business Development will be a pivotal role in aligning the sales efforts with technology partners and lead a dynamic sales team to achieve sales targets.
The VP, Business Development will be responsible for the following:
· Lead a high-performing sales team across United States.
· Recruit and develop a top-tier enterprise sales team.
· Achieve growth and meet sales targets by managing and coaching the sales team.
· Work collaboratively with the executive management team to establish the company’s strategic goals and direction.
· Provide coaching, direction and accountability to those directly supervised
· Network with individuals and organizations in the telecommunications industry in order to better understand future industry direction, build a network of resources and assist with the recruitment of sales and marketing positions.
· Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
VP, Business Development must have:
· 10+ years of sales leadership experiencewithin telecommunications / cloud based business
· Knowledge and contacts/network/ability to add new business
· Professional and assertive demeanor with a proven record of leadership and reliability.
· Experience developing and implementing sales strategy required.
· Competitive edge, complemented by innovative and decisive problem-solving skills.
· Proficient in CRM platforms, with a focus on sales forecasting and activity management.
· Must understand cloud services
· Ability to travel
· Bachelor’s degree
