Responsibilities:
- Ensure prompt and courteous answering of reservation lines.

Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues.
- Keep abreast of current information regarding room rates, room availability, special packages, special promotions, and current sell status.

Familiar with hours of operation of all hotel outlets and services available to guests.

Keeps the department manager informed of all problems or unusual matters.
- Keeps accurate records of group reservation systems, policy, packages, plans, advance deposits, etc.

Keep accurate record of cut off dates for group reservations and coordinates with the sales department.
- Keeps aware of all special dates (i.e., graduation, parents’ weekend, and homecomings) and the occupancy status of those dates.

Assist in cross-training Guest Service Representatives on how to appropriately take individual and group reservations.

1-2 years as a Reservations Agent or related customer service experience. Strong computer proficiency.
- iHotelier and Maestro PMS system experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English both written and orally.
- Ability to sit, type, talk and use a computer screen for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 15 pounds.
