Property Manager/AffordableHousing
Property Management Company in New Jersey is looking for an experienced Property Manager for an 87 unit apartment high rise in Northern New Jersey designated for seniors and/or disabled. Previous experience as a Property Manager of an affordable housing community is required for consideration.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, position with an attractive starting salary commensurate with experience.
Job Responsibilities:
● Tax Credit experience a must including annual certification paperwork. Always being prepared for a NJHMFA file audit
● Conduct regular inspections of common areas and tenants’ units.
● Collect rental payments from tenants; ensure prompt follow up with delinquent payments.
● Supervise property maintenance staff and coordinate their schedule with Regional Manager
● Work with upper management to conduct preparation for HUD REAC inspections; identify items that require improvement.
● Ensuring that the property’s curb appeal is impeccable
● Providing excellent customer service
● Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner
● Review invoices and submit to Management office for payment
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and experience necessary are as follows:
● a minimum of three years of experience working with Section 8 and/or LIHTC compliant projects
● Candidates should also have experience in all facets of subsidized property management including
· performing annual certifications (Tax Credit)
· maintaining a positive relationship with local housing authority and various city offices
· REAC inspection preparation
· managing the A/R process
● Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office; familiar with affordable management software Onesite RealPage.
