We are looking for a passionate and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and ensure the success of our establishment!
The General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, overseeing all aspects of the business from staff management and guest satisfaction to financial performance, inventory control, and catering and events.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team in all areas of the restaurant, including catering staff.
- Motivate and inspire staff to provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage employee performance, conduct reviews, and address any disciplinary issues.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Guest Experience:
- Ensure exceptional guest service that exceeds expectations and builds customer loyalty, both in the restaurant and for catering events.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and complaints.
- Oversee food and beverage quality control to maintain consistent standards for both dine-in and catering experiences.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase guest satisfaction and repeat business, including for catering services.
- Restaurant Operations:
- Develop and implement operational plans and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations, including catering services.
- Enforce staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet guest demand, including for catering events.
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and budgeting to optimize costs and minimize waste, while accounting for catering needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment in accordance with all health and safety regulations.
- Manage and resolve staff conflicts effectively, promoting a harmonious work environment.
- Prepare and manage budgets and financial reports, including those for catering events.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in both restaurant operations and catering services.
- Catering and Events:
- Take inquiries and manage orders for catering events.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and customize catering packages.
- Develop menus and pricing strategies for catering events.
- Assist with planning and logistics for catering events, ensuring smooth execution.
- Oversee catering staff during events to ensure exceptional service and presentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a similar concept with some catering experience.
- Proven track record of success in increasing sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction in both restaurant and catering operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and restaurant management software (POS system).
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
- Experience in menu development and pricing strategies.
- Passion for the restaurant industry and a commitment to providing exceptional service in both dine-in and catering settings.
