Job Description
This position works closely with the accounting team and handles all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus.
This position sits in Warren, MI and will report to the Assistant Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Acts as liaison between corporate and branch accounts payable departments.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Prepares monthly payment run, including ACH and Wire transfers.
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate AP files.
- Assists corporate financial officer’s department personnel as necessary.
- Assists in monthly closings.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Prepares yearly 1099 tax filings.
- Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associates degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience.
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
- Data entry and word processing skills.
- Must have a valid US Passport.
