Primary Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly skilled therapist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in various aspects of our addiction program including group therapy, individual and family therapy.
The Licensed Therapist is a member of the Neurosciences Institute and the Chemical Dependency, SolMar Retreat, (Hoag Addiction Treatment Center or HATC). The Therapist is responsible for an exceptional service to all customers, both external and internal. The Therapist has a primary responsibility to provide clinical care and case management to the patients, their families, and/or significant others throughout treatment, and across multiple levels of care.
The primary focus of the Therapist is to provide assessment, treatment planning, referral recommendations, discharge planning, education and direct therapeutic intervention for patients and their families throughout the course of treatment.
Responsibilities
· Provide group and individual evidenced based therapy through modalities on a consistent basis with assigned clients.
· Completes detail and timely documentation including : biopsychosocial assessment, weekly goal setting and treatment planning, progress notes, discharge planning, group and individual sessions.
· Work with each client in establishing aftercare plan that will set them for success upon discharge from the program.
· Maintain regular contact with families, outside clinicians, and referring parties (as appropriate) to ensure continuity of care.
· Complete all required documentation in timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Participates in case management and care coordination, including utilization reviews and treatment team meetings

Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree MSW or MFT from an accredited school
- At least 2 years ofexperience in addiction/behavioral health environment preferred.
- Experience in addiction/behavioral health environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of CARF and/or JCAHO accreditation standards.
- Knowledge of the 12-step, Smart Recovery, and other treatment models
- Knowledge of Incidental Medical Services/MAT policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of HIPPA
Licenses Required
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT)
- Must maintain standards of licensing board.
Certifications Required
- BLS – AHA Basic Life Support required
