We will pay between $60,000.00 and $68,000.00 per year.

Alice Pediatric Clinic is a family-owned practice serving Alice and surrounding communities for over 50 years. Our Mission is to provide compassionate high-quality healthcare to children from birth to 18 years of age.
We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our Alice Pediatric Family. The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide mental healthcare services to our patients by helping them navigate psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The counselor will focus on wellness and promote a healthy lifestyle. The counselor will serve as a leader, educator, and researcher for patients, their families, and the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide comprehensive initial evaluations of patient needs and develop customized treatment plans within the regulatory guidelines set by the State of Texas and Rural Health Clinic Code of Federal Regulations including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
· Promoting constructive self-reflection, helpful coping techniques, and nurturing relationships.
· Addressing concerns through talk therapy and by modeling adaptive, sustainable behaviors.
· Meets with patients regularly and provides resources and tools they need to reach personal goals and overcome issues.
· Facilitates support groups for patients, parents, and families.
· Provides mediation and crisis intervention services for patients and families.
· Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
· Creates assessment templates within an electronic medical record system and writes medical and suitable referral notes as required.
· Serves as a liaison and advocate with community programs and agencies related to health, mental health, and community support.
· Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations to stay current on the latest practices.
· Attending required meetings.
· Provide references to other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists.
· Notifies appropriate agency (Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and/or Law Enforcement agency) upon suspicion/confirmation of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child, elderly, or disabled person.
· Testifies in court regarding child abuse and/or neglect.
· Participates in the development, execution and annual review of the written policies/ procedures governing the clinic's services; participates and collaborates with the other providers in periodic reviews of patient’s health records.
· Maintains utmost confidentiality and complies with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, social work or related field
- Current state licensure as a Professional Counselor
- Proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation
- Strong understanding of crisis intervention techniques
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy and group therapy modalities
- Ability to provide direct support and guidance to individuals with mental health concerns
