Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Bankruptcy Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bankruptcy law, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle bankruptcy cases from inception to resolution, including Chapter 7, and Chapter 13 filings.
- Conduct legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients.
- Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other necessary documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings.
- Negotiate with creditors, trustees, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases.
- Develop and implement strategies to protect clients’ assets and interests.
- Stay current with developments in bankruptcy law and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless case management.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
- Proven track record of successfully handling bankruptcy cases.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a high caseload and work effectively under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with both consumer and business bankruptcy cases.
- Familiarity with local bankruptcy court procedures and trustees.
- Mediation or negotiation certification is a plus.
