Company Overview:
Our team is growing, and we have an immediate need for a full-time, results driven Maintenance Technician to tackle maintenance requests and day to day upkeep at our 100+ unit multifamily property in Hollywood.
In this role, you will work under a senior property manager in conjunction with other maintenance support staff to tackle open maintenance requests/work orders, deliver turned and renovated vacant units, and ensure the proper upkeep of the property grounds. We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual with strong organizational skills to work with and support the rest of the maintenance team.
We promote growth and encourage our maintenance staff to take education course to widen their skillset!
Qualifications
A maintenance-oriented problem solver
Skilled in general maintenance (plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
Valid driver’s license; valid vehicle insuranceAbility to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
On call required for after hours emergencies; Schedule may require work on weekends, holidays and evenings
Regular, consistent and timely attendance required
Ability to move in and out of a variety of positions which include the following: sitting, standing, walking, squatting, stair and ladder climbing, kneeling, belly crawling, overhead reaching, lifting, carrying
Ability to push and pull up to 118 pounds of force
Ability to lift below waist up to 77 pounds and above waist 45 lbs

Fulfill resident service requests, unit turns, and preventative maintenance work throughout the apartment community
Ensure community common areas and grounds are maintained according to Company standards; conduct inspections, and identify and resolve any hazards
Maintain inventory of parts and appliances; conduct general maintenance and maintain the orderliness of facilities
Complete preventive maintenance on the property and required systems and equipment
Perform Porter functions as necessary
Performs work using safe work practices
Ensures completion of safety training and actively investigates and mitigates risks
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work under the maintenance supervisor and take on tasks as they are assigned to you
- Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to delivered turned units in conjunction with leasing schedule
- Upon unit vacancies, work with staff to coordinate standard unit turn process or complete renovation
- Take care of maintenance requests/work order with respect to urgency of the request
- Close out maintenance requests/work orders daily and track progress of work order completion
- Clean the property grounds daily
- Keep track of maintenance supplies to endure proper organization and records of inventory
- Be a team player who is willing to take on any work assigned to them in order to ensure the property’s success
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ Years experience as part of a property management maintenance team
- Prior Yardi maintenance portal desired for service requests, but not required if applicant feels they can learn a new system.
- Well versed in maintenance fields such as turns, electrical work, dry wall and tile repair, plumbing, basic troubleshooting for appliances, as well as HVAC systems, to include other systems as well.
- Flexibility to work varying hours if requested with the team. This would mean to be on call on a rotating shift for emergency calls.
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude, has the ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills desired
