The Ultrasound Technician will support the needs of our patients and facility by way of performing the necessary ultrasounds. We are hiring for a full-time position that will require working during the week as well as being available to work on weekends and rotating holidays.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Obtain measurements and calculations of female anatomy while performing a detailed ultrasound examination.
- Utilize techniques that result in optimized images.
- Obtain appropriate images that clearly demonstrate ultrasound findings in accordance with specified protocols and accreditation standards.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding pertinent ultrasound findings in a concise, complete and accurate manner.
- Perform departmental tasks that are necessary to maintaining quality throughout all aspects of job duties performed.
- Document results utilizing our electronic medical records system.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited program resulting in the certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or DMS.
- Must be able to function independently.
- Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with the clinical team
- Must possess the interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with patients, staff and medical personnel.
- At least 1 years of ultrasound experience in the field of gynecology/OB or fertility is highly preferred.
