Job Description
Due to company growth, Machine Operators are needed. We are looking for dedicated and responsible personnel for long term employment to become part of our team.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for producing plastic injection molded parts in a safe manner in compliance with company standards.
Scope
Work in a team environment with related internal departments in order to maintain production targets.
May require some overtime and shift work
Major Responsibilities
- Understand and follow operator instructions in the area of operation.
- Perform machine and quality checks as outlined in the operator instructions.
- Keep machines and work areas clean.
- Maintain accurate production sheets at all times, ensuring the proper scrap & downtime codes are written on all documents.
- Maintain good communication with team members and management.
- Identify raw materials and what can or cannot be mixed according to the bill of materials.
- Adhere to standards as they apply to this position.
- Report all quality problems to the supervisor.

- Additional Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand the job responsibilities in order to perform, monitor, and control the process as it affects quality.
- Follow all procedures and work instructions pertaining to the assignment and make recommendations to improve the process.
- Appropriately record problem or non-conformance to ensure corrective action and preventive measures are taken.
- Assist in problem-solving process, corrective action, and prevention activities.
- Contain or stop the process as necessary to prevent non-conforming material from contaminating good material.
- Perform other duties within their skill level when required.
- Operate any machine required for the machine operator position including but not limited to injection molding machines, small assembly machines, and welding machines.
- Rework product if required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications Level One.
- Minimum Education – High School diploma or GED.
- Must be able to read and demonstrate an understanding of the operator instructions.
- Must be able to write as demonstrated through the completion of the employment application.
- Must be able to stand with constant movement such as walking, stooping, climbing, and kneeling for 8 to 12 hours.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 48 lbs.
- Must be able to perform a proficient level of arithmetic in the form of addition and subtraction.
- Must be able to effectively communicate process/product problems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
