We are seeking a closing Banquet Manager with 1 yr experience in banquets as a captain or supervisor. You will be in charge of handling the event during dinner service and closing the event/reset. This is NOT an event planning position, you will be in charge of executing the event. You will not be planning the event and you will be required to work weekends and evenings. If you require weekends and evenings off please do not apply.
Responsibilities:
Main contact for client during event
Manage Floor and staff on the floor during event
Ensure a seamless transition from one event into the next
Complete all staff sidework lists/staff schedule/linen inventory, etc
Know different serving styles and how to staff appropriate levels for each
Develop and Maintain a good rapport with all staff and with kitchen
Experience reading Banquet Event Orders
Detailing event rooms and knowing how to fully set all spaces for weddings, corporate, social events
Expectation:
You will be expected to work nearly all events. May-October, your schedule will be nearly all weekends (evenings mainly) and weekdays a tad more flexible, but still mid-evening shifts. Nov-April, shifts vary a little more and tend to be earlier, with less weddings.
If you require several weekends and nights off, you will not be considered for the position.
