Redfish Poke Bar by Foodland is Honolulu's best spot for authentic and innovative poke bowls and much more, brought to you by the people who know poke best. Our second location, which is now open inside the Wayfinder Waikiki, will bring our passion for poke, local dishes and signature cocktails to one of the most historic and iconic neighborhoods in Honolulu.
The cook position is a member whose focus is consistent execution of standardized recipes for the establishment’s daily needs. Line cooks will work with prepped ingredients to create items from the menu. The cook is also expected to be able to handle prep duties as well, but the focus is to handle the orders that are received. This person must have adequate knife and cooking skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all items are to spec, dated appropriately, packed, sealed, and labeled correctly.
- Maintain individual prep sheets daily.
- Comply fully with all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in keeping all sales and storage areas clean, clear and in good order at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have knowledge of cooking techniques & procedures, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operational systems.
- Must have the ability to work and communicate well with others, work both independently and in a team, follow directions, as well as maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company.
- Must maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observe company dress code, and support the company culture, values, goals and mission.
- Must possess a recent TB Clearance.
