Operations and Data Manager
Family Violence Law Center (FVLC) helps diverse communities in Alameda County heal from domestic violence and sexual assault, advocating for justice and healthy relationships. We provide survivor-centered legal and crisis intervention services, offer prevention education for youth and other community members, and engage in policy work to create systemic change.
OVERVIEW: FVLC’s administrative team currently consists of an Executive Director, Finance Director, and a part-time Grants & Contracts Manager. The Operations & Data Manager will provide the additional staffing FVLC needs to sustain its current level of operations. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Operations & Data Manager will support FVLC’s finance and development work as well as being responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks that further the work of the organization.
FVLC’s services are survivor-driven and trauma-informed. Services are also driven by the principle that many survivors live at the intersection of multiple forms of oppression and therefore advocacy needs to consider how issues like racism and poverty influence survivors’ likelihood of success. A successful candidate for the Operations & Data Manager position will bring an understand of FVLC’s culture and values to their support of agency operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Office Management.
· Overseeing physical office space and related needs, including equipment, maintenance, office/kitchen/meeting supplies, and vendor management
· Support staff needs by assisting with meeting preparation and support and by being the primary point-of-contact with FVLC’s technology contractor
· Develop and maintain efficient and standardized office procedures and critical infrastructure
Data Management.
· Manage data transfer and entry for FVLC’s grants and contracts
· Manage FVLC’s relationship with its client database vendor, including implementing changes to the database as needed and training staff
· Manage data for individual donor database
Compliance and Oversight
· Manage compliance with subgrantee oversight
· Support Finance Director with documentation organization and retention, data entry and bookkeeping, and audit preparation
· Support Finance Director with management of client assistance funds, , gift cards, and cash dispersements
Human Resources
· Support Human Resources operation, including documenting procedures and maintaining files
· Coordinate the hiring process and lead onboarding for new hires
· Ensure completion of staff performance reviews and employee exit interviews
Organizational Leadership
· Actively participate as a member of FVLC’s management team
· Develop and support the implementation of department procedural manuals
· Represent FVLC in the community as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
· Experience working in non-profits and an understanding of non-profit management basics
· Ability to relate well with people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds
· Ability to work independently and with a team
· Ability to attend to detail while also seeing the larger picture
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Excellent oral and written communications skills
· Strong computer skills
· Flexible, collaborative, and solution-oriented; ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, full-time.
COMPENSATION: Salary range starts at is $75,000, depending on experience.
