Job description
Well-established, prominent Montessori school, is currently seeking a full-time and/or part-time Floater/Support Teacher to provide breaks and support for our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. The candidate should be caring, compassionate, dependable, and loves working with children! Applicants must follow all licensing guidelines; and implement all company standards.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all industry regulations and company policies
- Support the teachers in various infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms by providing breaks and classroom support.
- Ensure all snacks, meals, naps, and diaper changes are logged via the Procare Engage app
- Ensure diapers are changed and potty-trained students are taken to the restroom as required
- Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children
- Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times
- Communicate professionally and consistently with parents regarding their child’s progress
- Communicate and guide the classroom assistant professionally and consistently
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- CPR & First Aid or willingness to obtain
- Montessori experience is preferred, but not required
- One year of proven experience teaching in an infant/ toddler classroom is preferred
- Ability to learn and implement the principles of the Montessori Method
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to multitask
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Current certification in Pediatric CPR/First Aid
- Knowledge of Title 22 Regulations
Education:
*Montessori Primary/Early Childhood Certification is preferred, but not required
*12 ECE/Child Development units- must include 3 units in each of the following are required:
- Child Growth and Development
- Child, Family & Community
- Infants and Toddlers
- Any Child Development Curriculum Course
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
