- Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities.

Ensure individual needs of participants are met within program guidelines.

Utilize sound judgment and discretionary skills in accordance with the Gateway Region YMCA policies.

Maintain positive relationships with many diverse people including staff, parents, volunteers and program site administration and demonstrate strong public relation skills.

Ensure YMCA policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Maintain an environment that ensures participant’s safety and well-being.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Works with director to determine current needs for program.

Ensure implementation of policies and procedures.

Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions.

Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.

Ensure ADA compliance with federal, state, local and YMCA regulations.

Ensure individual needs of the youth needing support are met and supported while remaining within the approved program parameters.

Implement reasonable accommodations to programs and activities as needed.

Review, understand and implement Association IEP Summary Support paperwork.

Develops and implements adaptive child care curriculum.

Provide opportunities to build self-help and independent skills

Maintain confidentiality and accurately prepare and provide proper records, documentation and files

Communicate professionally and accurately with YMCA staff, participants and families.

Ensure youth receiving support is fully included in all site activities, as much as is reasonable to expect, based upon level of documented ability

Ensure approved level of 1:1; 1:2 or 1:3 (staff/youth) support are maintained as recommended.

High School/GED/University completion in field or related field (based on position)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to use typical business software and office equipment

Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications
