Job Description: Junior/Senior controls technician
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced controls technician with a minimum of 5 years of expertise in working with BMS systems. These system are to be installed all over north America. As a Junior/Senior controls technician, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and commissioning these advanced computer systems in various industrial or horticultural settings. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, engineers, and technicians to ensure successful system integration, functionality, and optimization.
Responsibilities:
System Configuration: Configure and customize BMS computer systems to meet client requirements and specifications.
Commissioning: Perform system commissioning activities, including installing hardware, setting up software applications, and configuring network connections.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper system functionality, identify and resolve technical issues, and optimize system performance.
Integration: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and technicians to integrate the BMS computer systems with other existing equipment and control systems.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation of system configurations, installation procedures, commissioning processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Training and Support: Provide training sessions and support to end-users, technicians, and clients on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Priva or Ridder computer systems.
Project Management: Assist in project management activities, including coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables related to commissioning projects.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Priva or Ridder computer systems and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Requirements:
Education: Vocational degree in electrical or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with BMS computer systems, preferably in industrial or horticultural settings. Not a requirement.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of BMS computer systems, including system configuration, installation, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems is a plus.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, engineers, and technicians.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in system configuration, testing, and documentation.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
