Industry leading Building Automation Controls provider is seeking an experienced HVAC Building Automation Controls Technician. This position is responsible for performing high-level inspection and service of HVAC Control Systems, primarily for data centers in the Northern Virgina area.
Compensation commensurate with experience, in the $95,000-$120,000 range.
Primary Duties HVAC Building Automation Controls Technician
- Troubleshoot systems, components and devices and diagnose defects.
- Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals and/or a laptop computer.
- Perform point to point check out.
- Assist with integration of multiple manufacturers such as, JCI, Honeywell, Schneider, Siemens, Trane, ALC.
- Performs site specific training for owner/operator on the installed building automation systems.
- Determine corrective action and repairs required.
- Work from floor plans, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
Minimum qualifications include:
- High School Degree
- 3-5+ years of experience with HVAC Service of Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
- . Working knowledge to include:
- Schematics, construction drawings (and specifications),
- HVAC / mechanical, and control device installation and operating sequences,
- Troubleshoot process, procedures, and techniques for systems, sub-systems, and devices.
- Observes construction site safety.
- Experience with MS Office
- Ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and crawl.
