Community Health and Rehab is looking for a Registered Nurse for our Unit Manager position to join our Team!
Requirements:
- Must Posess a current RN licensure within the state of FL, as well as a CPR Certification
- Must posess strong communication and organizational skills as well as a patient, friendly, courteous, and respectful demeanor, with a team mindset
- Must be able to make independent decisions when necessary, and follow nursing department guidelines outlined by the facility and state authorities.
- Must be able to manage and lead employees
- You will be required to move frequently throughout the day as well as be able to push, pull and carry 40 pounds
Experience: Must have one to three years of nursing supervisor experience, geriatrics experience preferred
Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Successfully deliver basic nursing care to residents in accordance with their care plans as ordered by a physican
- Direct and develop other RNs, LPN, and CNAs, working on the unit to ensure a high quality of care, as well as delegate assignments and provide overall supervision.
- Must effectively communicate guidelines and procedures to other RNs, LPNs, CNAs on the unit as well as monitor their job preformance, while promoting a team enviroment through praise and recognition
- Conduct on-going assessments of residents to identify care needs and any revisions based on changes in resident conditions
- Work with Management and DON to provide resolution of grievances or concerns with resident care or family issues
- Document nursing care notes as well as interventions and resident/family education efforts in a timely manner
- Preforms medication administration and IV duties in accordance to the the care plan ordered by a physician
- Monitors and documents resident's, skin, behavior, vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment
- Places medication and refill orders with the resident pharmacies, as well as take inventory of narcotics and moniters emergency kits.
- Must understand and follow proper procedures for admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
Working Conditions:
You will be required to move frequently throughout your shift as well as bend, lift, sit and stand, you may deal with frequent interruptions, possibly by upset residents and family members. You may be required to work weekends, holidays, and other hours, based on resident needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
