Autry Grading is looking for an experienced fine-grade foreman to work hand in hand with laborers and operators to complete projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment;

Communicate with the Superintendent, Municipality inspectors, and Project Managers as to the daily job specifications;

Ability to follow directions;
-
Performs various skilled tasks with a motor grader, dozer, and various other heavy equipment that are associated with grading operations.

Uses various tools such as a shovel, rake, lute, broom, pick, hammer, saw, pneumatic hammer, drill, tamp and concrete saw;

Understands and interprets drawings, specifications, and construction stakes as required to build the project to the engineered design;

Manage crew and employees to safely, efficiently, and accurately complete projects while promoting growth and the development of assigned employees; and
-
Ability to perform the essential job functions and perform other duties as assigned. We do not have operating-only positions, all employees are expected to do whatever work is required as a team to get the job done.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The job requires the following motions: standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching and squatting;

Operate the motor grader and bulldozer with or without GPS;
-
Requires regular lifting of or in excess of 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds;

Walking and standing may require a full day of 9 to 12 hours;
-
Will be exposed to sometimes extreme hot and cold temperatures; and
-
Jobs require riding to and from projects in various locations within our geographic region;

Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times;

Report to work at the designated start time;
-
Be able to work long hours when required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years of experience operating a motor grader and a minimum of 1 year running a grade crew;

Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check;
-
Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document;

Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook;

Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required;

Be at least age 21 years of age;
-
Have a valid NC Drivers License with a good driving record;
