POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Distribution Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our Warehouse and Belt Shop. This role is essential in implementing and maintaining efficient operational processes across these departments to ensure seamless integration and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and process improvement, with a proven track record of leading teams and optimizing operations.
The Distribution Manager will develop and manage schedules for each department, continuously seeking improvements and efficiency. They will monitor and track departmental metrics to ensure performance standards are met and identify areas for improvement. This role requires a commitment to quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations. The manager will lead and develop teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Warehouse and Belt Shop.
- Implement and maintain efficient operational processes across the three departments to ensure seamless integration and productivity.
- Develop and manage schedules for each department, continuously seeking improvements and efficiency.
- Monitor and track departmental metrics to ensure performance standards are met and identify areas for improvement.
- Enhance the effectiveness of the warehousing and production processes and implement necessary improvements while maintaining robust control design and execution.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Lead and develop teams across the three departments, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Prepare for backfill capability in the event of vacancies in key team positions.
- Be a positive brand ambassador of our family of brands both inside and outside the company by exemplifying integrity, entrepreneurship, and admirable character.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field.
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field will be considered.
- Familiarity with using ERP systems to manage and track production activities, inventory levels, and other relevant data. BC and PlantStar preferred.
- Capacity to make timely and well-informed decisions based on data, production goals, and overall business objectives.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies and inventory management systems.
