Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Materials and Inventory Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that all materials for our projects are ordered and delivered on time, warehouse inventory is effectively managed, customer service is top-notch, and projects are kept on budget. The ideal candidate will work closely with the project manager and other team members to facilitate seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
Materials Management:
- Order all materials required for projects in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best prices and quality of materials.
- Track and confirm delivery of materials to job sites.
Warehouse Inventory Management:
- Oversee and manage the warehouse inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
Project Assistance:
- Assist the project manager with project-related paperwork, including permits, contracts, and work orders.
- Ensure all project documentation is organized and up-to-date.
Customer Service Management:
- Handle all customer service inquiries, providing timely and professional responses.
- Resolve any issues or concerns from clients promptly and effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in materials management, inventory control, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building products and construction materials.
- Familiarity with suppliers, vendors, and industry best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a knack for problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not required.
