Luogo & Pelato are two Italian restaurant by Anthony Scotto which have become Nashville’s newest hotspots. After three decades in New York City’s hospitality scene, Luogo marked Anthony’s first solo venture and his first restaurant in Music City. Located in The Gulch and named after the Italian word for “the place,” Luogo offers upscale, authentic Italian food featuring Anthony’s signature northern Mediterranean flair and five-star service. Pelato is Germantown's newest casual neighborhood destination, offering Brooklyn Italian reimagined in a small plate, shareable setting.
Position Summary
Line & Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients, producing quality meals, and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. All Cooks follow recipes consistently, keep our prep kitchen & hot line organized, communicate all needs or issues with Chefs & Managers, and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal. Luogo Line & Prep cooks will work with a tight-knit team in a family-owned & fast paced environment, where input and ideas are appreciated and celebrated!
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- 2 Years Kitchen experience in high volume / high end establishments
- Food preparation and collaboration with kitchen & Chef team
- Produce high quality plates, including both design and taste
- Assists with preparation of family meal, receiving and organizing products, and management of supplies
- Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition
- Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance
- Adheres to all Health Department standards & practices
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment
