Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our compliance programs to ensure that Alliant Capital Management adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role is critical in safeguarding our reputation and ensuring that our business practices remain ethical and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and review collection practices to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) guidelines, and other relevant laws.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential compliance issues.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related complaints and incidents.
- Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulations and update compliance programs accordingly.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and other departments to address compliance concerns and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, preferably within the debt collection industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the FDCPA, CFPB guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or similar certification.
- Experience with compliance software and tools.
