The Role
The Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing and supporting the execution of North America regional strategy. This includes the development of a strategic roadmap based upon analysis of competitors, suppliers, customers, and market indicators. The communication and execution of that strategy is vital to our success and will be the number one priority for this role. Working across business units, the role will make significant contributions to our acquisition strategy, supporting transactions from target identification through integration.
Responsible for the collection of market intelligence, this role will help to identify enterprise-wide threats and opportunities, determine success factors and industry best practices, and help the organization incorporate these insights into our go-to-market strategy and corporate development. This role will contribute to multiple projects simultaneously. On each project, the Strategy Manager will liaise with functional/business leaders and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment, prioritization and ultimately, successful project outcomes. They will be counted on to guide strategic conversations and for clear communication and organization.
Requirements
Strategy development
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop, maintain and support the execution of corporate strategy
- Contribute to the development of strategy documents including the regional Long Range Plan (LRP), business level strategy and acquisition roadmaps
- Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the strategy group
Project management and coordination
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with management, project sponsors, external partners and project team members
- Effectively communicate expectations and status to the project team and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Continuously manage objectives, and hold project team members accountable for delivery
Executive reporting and communication
- Prepare and deliver strategy/project communication for discussion with senior leaders and executives
- Represent Saint-Gobain with external partners and acquisition targets, including during integration
Additional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in the required field
- 5+ years in Business strategy, consulting and/or marketing roles
- Project management experience
- Business integration or transformation experience
- Experience working with senior leadership and executives
