Job Title: Food & Beverage Assistant Manager
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager Wage: $20-$23/hour DOE
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Status: FTYR
Job Summary: Aides in the overall operation of the Red Lodge Mountain food and beverage department. The assistant manager will aide hiring staff, purchasing food and stock, and coordinating training on proper food preparation, proper and legal alcoholic beverage service, kitchen safety techniques, and health standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Supervise the day-to-day function of all Food and Beverage outlets.
- Represent the Food and Beverage Manager in their absence.
- Foster a friendly environment with a guest first approach.
- Assist with managing and supervising 30-40 employees. Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with Red Lodge Mountain policies, and applicable laws.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintaining SOP’s for the department.
- Maintain clean and orderly food and beverage facilities at all times.
- Assure compliance with all health and food regulations.
- Provide input with menu planning and optimizing product selection in line with company COGs standards.
- Manage inventory and stocking of food items.
- Coordinate daily processes for POS, inventory and payroll software.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolves grievances in concert with the F&B Manager and HR department.
- Work in all F&B positions as needed.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all Food and Beverage outlets.
Skills and Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership with a “servant leader” approach
- Must have strong computer skills,
- Basic comprehension of budgeting and related tools
- Ability to analyze trends and situations in industry and turn them into business opportunities analysis of data
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and allocate resources efficiently
- Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and holidays

- Experience/Education:
Required:
- Experience in management of multi-unit food and beverage facility
- High school diploma or G.E.D. minimum
- ServSafe certification or acquired within 60 days of hire.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally work in humid conditions. There will be frequent exposure to sharp and/or hot objects. They will be occasionally be exposed to extreme cold and wet conditions. Harsh weather conditions may be encountered in route to work.
