Certified Dietary Manager
Job Description:
The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for the dietary needs of the residents and or their families. They will also be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of special dietary needs meals, snacks, and beverages. The Certified Dietary Manager will also be responsible for providing educational opportunities to the residents and or their families, as well as providing support to the nursing staff.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety, food handling, nutrition, food handling techniques, and food preparation and service.
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthier living practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality food service methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the principles of Nutrition and Weight Management (Foods, Feeds, Costs, Nutrition).
- Knowledge of the principles of Good Administration (Good Housekeeping, Good Health) and Quality (Quality Assurance) .
- Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
