ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates patient’s engagement in program and maintenance of safe behavior.
Engages children in the waiting room in trauma sensitive constructive, structured craft or play activities while parent is working with child’s therapist, investigators or Family Advocate.
Performs and assists with specific clerical duties and projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability in working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist with meeting the developmental needs of children and families involved in child maltreatment investigations.
Requires ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing with program staff and patient.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards and techniques for appropriate developmental activities and equipment preferred.
Understanding of the emotional and behavioral impact of trauma preferred.
Increased Security Clearance may be Required: Recurring FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, Child Protective Services registry search, and Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender.
Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
Location: Childrens Hospital of The Kings Daughters · Child Advocacy Center
Schedule: Full-Time, Days, Monday-Friday 7:45-4:15
