Description:
Job Purpose:
The Quality Control Lead is responsible for assisting with the implementation, coordination, and execution of goals and objectives related to the KFV quality department. Responsible for ensuring quality control activities meet or exceed the specified requirements. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee inspection processes to verify compliance with the requirements of the work order, applicable specifications, and the KF Valves quality management system in accordance with all licensing and customer requirements (i.e., API, ISO, PED, etc.)

Perform dimensional and visual inspections, including first article, in-process, and final inspections.

Oversee the calibration process for conformance to stated requirements.

Interface with customer third-party source inspectors, when required.

Review outsourced process documentation and reports for conformance to stated requirements (i.e. KFV QMS, API, ISO, customer, end user, etc)

Assist with the identification and development of required procedures and processes related to the KFV Quality Management System.

Assist with customer returns/warranty issues as assigned. Inspect product prior to restock.

Verify material test reports with engineering specifications for acceptance as required.

Generate NCRs (nonconforming product reports) and handle all follow-up activities as required to ensure timely review and closure, including supplier NCRs. Assist with NCR reporting as assigned.

Participate in process improvement teams and/or completes relative documentation as required.

Assist with employee training as assigned, including but not limited to creating training material and tests, and conducting employee training for direct reports and other departments.

Interact with Engineering, Sales, Production

Other duties as assigned including but not limited to administrative tasks, trouble-shooting customer requests, and field service tasks.
Requirements:
Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in manufacturing, assembly, QA, and/or QC.

Knowledge of ball/check valves, machining techniques, calibration, hand gauges/inspection tools, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), strongly preferred.

Demonstrate effective communication (with internal and external parties) and time management skills.

Ability to read and interpret documents, procedures, and instructions satisfactorily to successfully perform assigned duties in a safe manner.

Knowledge of API/ISO specifications strongly preferred.

Former Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
Working Conditions:

The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
Physical Requirements:

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
