Job Purpose:
What will you do? As Director of Business Intelligence at Aspire Health Partners, your job is to be responsible for the overall management of the Business Intelligence and State Reporting (FASAMS) sections for the company. The departmental operations and management plan will focus on data accuracy and timely reporting to our leadership and relevant payor sources.
These functions include, but are not limited to:
- Working with your team and others to plan, design, implement and perform operations and EHR enhancements that will prevent FASAMS errors; directing your team to work the exception reports as well as other reports indicative of issues regarding FASAMS, ensuring that all items appearing on the exception reports related to potential liabilities are corrected or sufficiently addressed to prevent payback or in the worst case minimize any paybacks; ensure the production and distribution of a timely coherent and comprehensive adjunct statement to the CFCHS-required quarterly Attestation; as required, facilitate and provides training to staff who require more intense FASAMS instruction, and recommends corrective action and provides evidence for the corrective action for staff who are not satisfactorily responsive to additional instruction or remedial efforts, and follows up with Human Resources and the chain of command on the results of the corrective action.
- Assisting the VP of Information Technology (and his/her team), the Director of IT, and the Chief Administrative Officer with general EHR maintenance and development activities, as required.
- Assisting in matrix management reporting and monitoring activities, including creation and dissemination of reports ranging from summary dashboard indicators to specific, detailed information.
- Serves as a resource for reporting writing, compilation, distribution, and interpretation for Productivity, Utilization Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Development, Executive Administration, Quality, & Medical and Clinical programs, as needed.
- Preparing ad-hoc and regular reports as needed.
- Assisting in contract management, information systems, risk management, compliance, EHR documentation, data warehousing activities, quality assurance, and accreditation functions as assigned.
- Cooperating fully with teaching and learning various component functions to maximize cross training efforts at thedirection of the component supervisor/coordinator/director.
- Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- In addition, Director of Business Intelligence must maintain positive working relationships, assist in resolving discrepancies, and complete required trainings and/or attend and participate in meetings when necessary.
- Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related degree preferred; and at least four years experience working with computers, information systems, data analytics, data reporting, information synthesis, and/or EHRs in a research concern, quality assurance department, hospital/clinic, managed care office, epidemiological, or behavioral healthcare organization required.
- EHR experience is required, preferably with Continuum Cloud Welligent at a high level role such as a lead project facilitator, section leader, and/or technical expert demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of how Welligent is suppose to function and what it's strengths and limitations are particularly in regard to data reporting and data integrity
The successful candidate will:
(1) be computer-savvy and demonstrate advanced skills of importing and exporting data to and from databases/warehouses with the ability to use current business intelligence applications to solve company problems and explore opportunities, and have a working knowledge of computer languages such as Java, JavaScript, VB,MTLM, etc., a working knowledge of databases such as SQL, etc., and reporting skills in SSRS, Crystal Reports, etc.,
(2) have a working knowledge of DCF FASAMS and related DCF/AHCA reporting requirements,
(3) have theability toquickly learn agency processes and workflows,
(4) possess intermediate-advanced Excel and Word skills as well as PowerPoint,
(5) have a working knowledge of creating complex routine and on-demand reports, performing analysis, and engaging in database operations beyond spreadsheet manipulation activities,
(6) be able to positively handle stress indigenous to performing in a perpetual oversight role,
(7) ability to grasp the “big picture” as well as the granular components,
(8) ability to collaborate and successfully work with Aspire teams to complete assignments and help them complete their assignments as needed and/or required, and
(9) be a team player.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $61,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
