Position Summary
To provide coordination of employment and on-site job coaching for people in support.
To assist individuals in living their best lives and maintaining maximum independence.
Duties
- Assist with initial employment assessments including individuals’ skills, aptitudes, and limitations to determine the appropriate employment services, which may include customized, community, or supportive employment.
- Conduct job development and job search activities directed toward positions that are customized to the interests and uniqueness of the individual.
- Coordinate and provide job placement and training to the individual to develop the skills necessary to succeed in the specific role for which the individual is hired and to meet the objectives of the Implementation Strategies.
- Conduct job training within the actual job environment to address naturally occurring demands and contingencies.
- Perform on-site job coaching.
- Conduct on going service assessment, support, and coordination to monitor the status of the job environment and the employee.
- Provide intervention strategies, as needed, to maintain job placement.
Skills and Knowledge:
· Possess strong interpersonal skills for interactions with supervisors, coworkers, individuals, and outside personnel.
· Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with supervisor, coworkers, individuals, and outside personnel.
· Follow procedures for delivery of instructional, training, and support services.
· Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate implementation of each designated individual’s needs, goals, interventions and supports.
· Complete required record-keeping with accuracy.
· Efficient use of time, materials, and human resources.
